SPIRIT RUN
|
The 7th Annual Powell River Spirit Run / Walk Sunday, April 29th, 2007 The title 'Spirit Run' reflects what people with bone marrow diseases and those who donate bone marrow display—a spirit that rises above the illness. The Annual Spirit Run offers the runner/walker four distances to choose from: 5K, 10K or 20K, or 4-person relay for the 20K. Participants are inspired not only by the charitable purpose of the run but also by the route, which encompasses ocean-side roadways and a beautiful beach-front trail through the woods. Participants can either pay an entry fee or collect pledges. Prizes and medals are awarded in a variety of categories. |
Note: The 1st place winner in the 2007 women's 16 and under 5K category was 13 year old Julie Lance with a time of 26:23.

Matt Denniston, Spencer Kotowick, and Krista Denniston follow the lead of Terri Beck in the warm-up.
